Danville’s Best Spot for Every Big Game

There are two kinds of sports fans in Danville, VA. The ones who watch the game at home on their couch, and the ones who watch it at River District Social with giant HD screens, loaded plates of wings, cold draft beer, and the energy of a crowd that actually cares about the outcome. Both are valid choices. But only one of them gives you bowling lanes to burn off halftime energy, golf simulators to kill time during a blowout, and craft cocktails to toast a last-second victory.

River District Social is Danville’s premier watch party destination. Whether it’s the Super Bowl, NFL Sunday, Monday Night Football, March Madness, college football Saturday, NBA playoffs, UFC fight night, or any other major sporting event, our multi-screen HD setup puts the action front and center while our full bar and kitchen keep the game day spread coming. Located at 680 Lynn Street in the River District, we turn every big game into an event worth leaving the couch for.

The Watch Party Setup

Our venue features multiple giant HD screens positioned throughout the space so you can see the action from every angle. Whether you’re posted at the bar, seated at a table, waiting for your turn at the bowling lanes, or settled into a booth with your crew, the game is always in view. For events with multiple simultaneous games, like the first weekend of March Madness or a stacked NFL Sunday slate, our screens can show different matchups at the same time.

The audio is tuned to the main event, creating a game-day atmosphere that builds with every big play. When a touchdown hits, you’ll hear the eruption across the venue. When a buzzer-beater drops, the whole place goes electric. It’s the communal sports experience that streaming at home can never replicate.

Super Bowl Watch Party

The Super Bowl is the biggest watch party of the year at River District Social, and we treat it accordingly. Our Super Bowl event features all screens locked on the big game, food and drink specials running all day, and the kind of crowd energy that makes the commercial breaks almost as entertaining as the game itself.

Plan your Super Bowl Sunday at RDS:

  • ✓ Arrive early and claim your spot with a reservation
  • ✓ Order from our game day menu: wings, bacon cheese fries, flatbreads, and more
  • ✓ Beer buckets and craft cocktails keep the drinks flowing
  • ✓ Bowl a few frames during the halftime show
  • ✓ Cheer with a crowd that makes every play feel bigger

Super Bowl reservations fill fast. Contact us early to secure your group’s space, especially if you’re bringing a large crew. Our combo packages are perfect for Super Bowl groups that want food, drinks, and entertainment locked in before kickoff.

NFL Sundays and Monday Night Football

Every NFL Sunday, River District Social becomes Danville’s living room. Multiple screens show the afternoon slate, with prime-time games getting the full spotlight. Whether you’re pulling for an AFC contender or sweating a fantasy lineup, the atmosphere is built for football.

Monday Night Football at River District Social is especially popular because it coincides with Half Off Play Mondays. That means 50% off bowling, golf simulators, and pool all day long. Watch the first half from a barstool with a plate of wings, then hit the bowling lanes during halftime. By the fourth quarter, you’re back at the bar for the finish. It’s the best Monday night deal in Danville: half-price entertainment with football on every screen.

March Madness Headquarters

March Madness was made for a venue like River District Social. The first two weekends of the tournament feature so many simultaneous games that you need multiple screens to keep up, and we have them. Set up shop at a table with a view of several screens, track your bracket in real time, and react to every upset, buzzer-beater, and Cinderella run with a crowd that’s equally invested.

For tournament-long watch parties, consider a group reservation. Gather your bracket pool, order combo packages with food and drinks included, and make March Madness a social event instead of a solo couch marathon. The atmosphere during a 12-seed upset is worth the trip alone.

College Football Saturdays

Virginia Tech, UVA, Virginia State, and every other college in the region has fans in Danville, and they all end up at River District Social on Saturdays. Our multi-screen setup lets us show multiple games simultaneously, so Hokie fans, Cavalier fans, and everyone else can catch their team’s action without compromise. Add in the SEC, ACC, and Big Ten matchups that dominate the fall sports landscape, and Saturday at RDS is a football marathon with world-class bar food and entertainment between games.

UFC Fight Nights and More

It’s not just football and basketball. River District Social shows UFC fight nights, boxing cards, MLB playoff games, NHL action, World Cup matches, and any other major sporting event that brings people together. If there’s a big game on, we’re showing it. Our staff keeps the schedule updated and the screens tuned to whatever has the most energy on any given night.

Game Day Food and Drink

A watch party isn’t a watch party without the right food. Our game day menu is built for sharing and snacking through four quarters of action:

Wings: Mango habanero is the house favorite. Order a platter for the table and watch them disappear before the second quarter.

Loaded Fries: Bacon cheese fries are the ultimate game day comfort food. Shareable, indulgent, and gone fast.

Flatbreads: Buffalo chicken and BBQ chicken flatbreads offer a step up from typical bar pizza. Crispy, flavorful, and built for splitting.

Beer Buckets: Skip the individual orders and grab a bucket for the table. Cold beer, ready when you need it, no waiting for the bartender during a commercial break.

Craft Cocktails: For the fans who want something beyond beer, our bartenders mix espresso martinis, margaritas, and seasonal specialties throughout every game.

Reserve Your Watch Party Spot

The biggest games draw the biggest crowds. For Super Bowl Sunday, conference championship weekends, March Madness opening rounds, and other major events, we recommend making a reservation in advance. Our combo packages are the easiest way to guarantee space, food, drinks, and entertainment for your watch party group.
